Member Engagement & Event Coordinator
Job Summary:

As the Member Engagement and Event Coordinator, you’ll be crucial to our membership engagement, events planning, and marketing initiatives. General Description:
The Member Engagement and Event Coordinator’s main responsibility is the recruitment and retention of members, sponsorship sales, event management and committee management. In addition, you will assist the Senior Vice President. This position balances working in the office and meeting with members and potential members with some local travel involved.

Job Requirements:
This position requires being self-motivated, highly outgoing, and personable. You will need strong verbal, written and communication skills including public speaking, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Must be a team player. Must have the ability to multi-task. Experience with Microsoft Office is essential.
Experience in marketing, graphic design and/or social media preferred but not required. Two to four years college preferred but not required. A minimum of two years’ experience in a related job field preferred.

Supervision:
Reports directly to the Senior Vice President.
Responsibilities:

Membership
o Recruitment of new members meeting minimum quota for new members as established in the annual Plan of Work/yearly goal (or by the President/CEO).
o Supports in retention efforts via all manner of membership communication and member engagement.
o Sponsorship sales
o Prepare and distribute marketing/sales materials for potential and new members.
o Consistent contacts with existing members as a matter of general chamber outreach. In-person contacts are critical.
o Assists in new member orientation.
o Manage and assist with ribbon cuttings, ground-breaking ceremonies, and grand openings.
o Connects members with opportunities.
o Goal set and track with supervisor.
o Use membership management software (ChamberMaster) to track prospective member and member information, sales and to manage data and reports.

Events:
o Successfully plan and execute assigned events from inception to clean-up. Tasks include but are not limited to managing all event details in ChamberMaster software, tracking event financials, and adhering to event budgets, negotiating and managing contracts (venue, catering, other services), communicating with vendors, sponsorship sales, managing event committees and committee meetings, preparing agendas, managing attendee lists, inviting and coordinating speakers, communicating with sponsors and members.

Other
Support our staff team members as needed. Our team works together to ensure the chamber mission is fulfilled. Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary:
Salary based on qualifications and experience.
